What is Canadian Tire’s dividend policy?

Canadian Tire’s policy is to maintain dividend payments equal to approximately 25% to 30% of the prior year’s normalized earnings, after giving consideration to the period-end cash position, future cash requirements, capital market conditions and investment opportunities. Normalized earnings for this purpose excludes gains and losses on the sale of credit card and loans receivable and non-recurring items but includes gains and losses on the ordinary course disposition of property and equipment.
